Sandpoint Furniture

Whether you are remodeling or building, you want your home or office to be a reflection of your unique taste and personality. At Sandpoint Furniture, located on the campus of Ponderay Design Center in Sandpoint, you will find everything you need in beautiful home interiors. Much more than just a furniture store, Sandpoint Furniture is family owned and operated and has been helping customers furnish their homes with high-quality, unique furnishings for more than 70 years.

They carry everything from handcrafted Amish furniture, “imported” from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to bold, bright colors that are evident the minute you walk into their showroom. Sandpoint Furniture has it all. They take pride in featuring as many American-made furnishings as possible and are knowledgeable about the features and benefits of each brand. Their reputation for providing high value, high style and high quality is something of which many throughout the Inland Northwest are becoming aware. Simply stated, they are a cut above the mainstream furniture stores.

When you visit the Sandpoint Furniture complex, Interior Designer Annie Nye can help you thoughtfully design your home from dreamy kitchens and baths to selecting unique and functional pieces that are created by talented artisans. Her expertise is a huge asset to so many of Sandpoint Furniture’s customers and clients.

“Interior designers don’t go to school to learn how to wear scarves and drink wine. We go to school to learn about how to design interior spaces and coordinate finishes,” explains Annie. “There is a big difference between someone who calls themselves an interior decorator and someone who has the professional title of interior designer.”

Designers are required to earn a degree from an accredited university or college, work in the field for a required number of years under a licensed professional, and then pass a series of tests to earn their certification. This ensures that whatever they put together not only looks great but is safe for the people using the space.

Interior designers are responsible for the health, safety and wellness of the individuals using the spaces they put together. They take into consideration every detail in designing a space, like making sure that appropriate wall sconces are selected so that when a person is walking by they can’t bump into it or hit their head when they stand up.

Also part of the Ponderay Design Center campus are Carpet One and Selkirk Glass and Cabinets, encompassing 22,000 square feet of beautifully designed cabinets, countertops, flooring and lighting to help you visualize your dream kitchen and bath.
