Happy Fourth of July from Northwest Sizzle! We've found some great events leading up to the holiday, as well as the big Independence Day celebrations you won't want to miss! If you're looking for parades and fireworks, there's the Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks in Downtown Coeur d'Alene, Spokane's Fourth of July Fun at Riverfront Park and Sandpoint's Fourth of July Festivities. Start off the long holiday weekend by attending some of these other great local events: Sandpoint's Summer Sampler at Farmin Park, Red, White and Blue Paint and Sip Party with Uncorked Paint Sandpoint and The Pottery Bug, Yappy Hour at Greasy Fingers Bikes n Repair, Canning Jams and Jellies at UI Extension Office, Yoga and Beer at the Brewery at Mickduff's Beer Hall, Sammy Hagar and the Circle at Northern Quest Resort and Casino, the 6th Annual Haden's Heart Fun Run at Clark Fork's Main Street and Kootenai River Days in Bonners Ferry. SANDPOINT SUMMER SAMPLER Tonight! Thurs. June 29, 5-8pm The Sandpoint Summer Sampler is a summer block party like no other. Attendees can sample bites from the best restaurants, wineries and breweries Sandpoint has to offer! A Chef’s Cook-off, sponsored by Litehouse, has two local chefs battling it out for the 2017 title! Read more PAINT & SIP PARTY Fri. June 30, 6:30pm This Red, White and Blue Paint and Sip Party is open to adults and young adults accompanied by parents. This is a BYOB party to celebrate Independence Day. All paint materials are included. Reservations are required as seats are limited. Read more COEUR D'ALENE PARADE & FIREWORKS Tues. July 4, 10am & 10pm The day kicks off with the American Heroes Parade on Sherman Avenue at 10am. After the parade, spend the afternoon in Coeur d’Alene City Park and enjoy great food and live music! July 4, noon Spend Fourth of July at Riverfront Park in Spokane, where you will enjoy live music in the park, group performances, craft and food vendors and a beer garden, and the grand finale fireworks show over the park and the Spokane River gorge!
