October 3 | Matchwood Brewery, Sandpoint

NAMI Far North, the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, hosts its fifth annual NAMIWalks event at Matchwood Brewery on October 3, bringing Bonner and Boundary County residents together in support of mental health awareness close to home.

NAMIWalks ranks among the largest peer-to-peer mental health fundraising events in the country, and every dollar raised in Sandpoint stays local. NAMI Far North uses that support to fund education, advocacy, and free programs for individuals and families affected by mental illness, so no one navigates a diagnosis alone.

This year marks a major milestone. Sand Creek Connections, a new community-based recovery program in downtown Sandpoint, is Idaho's first data-driven psychosocial rehabilitation facility, serving adults living with anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, schizophrenia, and other serious mental health challenges.

The walk gathers participants for a morning of connection and community support, with proceeds keeping support groups, classes, and Community Forum Night accessible across the region. Individuals, teams, and businesses are welcome to register, sponsor, or join the volunteer walk team.

Walk for yourself, a loved one, or a neighbor. Your presence helps sustain work happening right here in Bonner County.
