FARE Idaho’s Field to Fork Sandpoint Festival

Celebrating local food, community, and connection

By Like Media Team

FARE Idaho is proud to bring its signature Field to Fork event to Sandpoint for the first time on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Hosted at the University of Idaho’s Sandpoint Organic Agriculture Center, this one-day trade fair celebrates North Idaho’s independent food economy by building bridges between the people who grow, prepare, sell, and support local food.

Free and open to the public, Field to Fork Sandpoint invites farmers, ranchers, chefs, food producers, retailers, and community members to gather for a day of education, inspiration, and relationship-building. It’s a chance to meet the people behind the region’s food systems face-to-face and explore how working together can strengthen local sourcing and sustainable practices.

The setting—an active organic agriculture center tucked in the beauty of North Idaho—is as meaningful as the mission. Attendees can explore curated booths featuring independent food and beverage producers across the region, participate in live tastings, and connect through roundtable discussions covering real-time challenges and solutions in Idaho’s food landscape.

At 1 pm, a special Buyer Hour kicks off, giving chefs, distributors, institutional purchasers, and retailers dedicated time to engage directly with producers. Whether sourcing pasture-raised meats, seasonal produce, craft beverages, or artisan goods, buyers can build direct relationships that promote transparency and resilience in the supply chain.

“This event is about more than just great food—it’s about connection, commerce, and community,” says Tammie Halcomb, Executive Director of FARE Idaho. “We’re honored to bring Field to Fork to Sandpoint and celebrate the incredible work being done in our independent food and beverage industries.”

As the day winds down in the orchard, the celebration continues with the Field to Fork Dinner. This separately ticketed culinary experience brings the day’s mission to life on the plate. Hosted beneath the apple trees at the Sandpoint Organic Agriculture Center, this open-air dinner features a thoughtfully crafted menu with ingredients sourced directly from regional producers.

With long tables set among the trees, guests are invited to enjoy a shared meal that reflects the diversity and richness of North Idaho’s food culture. From fresh vegetables and grass-fed meats to local cheeses, wines, and handcrafted desserts, every course tells a story of connection—between the land, the farmer, the chef, and the community.

More than a meal, the Field to Fork Dinner is an experience rooted in appreciation. It honors the hardworking hands behind the food and offers a moment to slow down, gather, and celebrate what it means to eat locally and live well.

Seating is limited, and advance ticket purchase is required by June 25, 2025. This exclusive evening is expected to sell out quickly, and for good reason—it’s a rare opportunity to dine under the stars with the people who bring food to life in North Idaho.

FARE Idaho’s Field to Fork Sandpoint is a one-of-a-kind event that reflects the heart of the region’s independent food community. Producers, buyers, and food lovers alike will find a meaningful way to connect, collaborate, and contribute to a stronger, more sustainable local food economy.

Vendor registration, sponsorship opportunities, and Field to Fork Dinner tickets are now available.
