August 8-9, 2026

Downtown Sandpoint closes its streets to art each August, and this year marks the 54th season of the tradition. The Pend Oreille Arts Council's Arts & Crafts Fair fills 2nd Avenue and Main Street on Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9. Dozens of curated exhibitors show ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, photography, paintings, mixed media, wood, and prepared foods. The fair runs from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and from 9 am to 4 pm on Sunday. A youth art arena gives young visitors their own space to create alongside the booths. Food vendors line the route for anyone ready to make a day of it. Admission is free to everyone throughout the weekend. Last year's fair drew more than 5,000 visitors, one of Sandpoint's busiest weekends of the year. Every dollar raised supports POAC's visual and performing arts programming and arts education across Sandpoint and Bonner County, reaching classrooms and stages throughout the year. Bring cash for the smaller booths and comfortable shoes for the crowds. Street parking fills fast, so plan to walk in from nearby lots. Second Avenue and Main Street fill early.
