Winefest Schweitzer

Don’t miss the opportunity to sample great wines from around the Pacific Northwest while enjoying a beautiful summer weekend at Schweitzer!

Make plans to get outside and up on the mountain for this tasty summer event not to miss. Northwest Winefest promises to be a weekend extravaganza of wine, food, music and fun—and it’s a friendly affair for all ages to attend (though wine, of course, is just for those 21 and older to imbibe).

Schweitzer Village is the place to be Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17. Over the weekend, attendees will be treated to live music from five bands, 20 regional wineries with 80 wines for tasting, delicious barbecue, arts and crafts vendors, and activities for the whole family. To participate in the tasting, be sure to purchase your souvenir wine glass and tasting tickets to sample wines at "Wine Alley."

Each glass purchase includes six 2-ounce tastings. Cost is $35 for a stemless 9-ounce souvenir glass, $40 for stemless 15-ounce souvenir wine glass and $45 for an insulated stainless wine glass. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased on-site for just $3 each. Then, be sure to vote for your favorite white, red and rosé wines, then purchase bottles of your favorites to take home!

Food vendors will be open for business starting at 11am, with wine tasting hours beginning at noon. The fun concludes at 7pm Saturday and 5pm Sunday.

The music lineup is sure to impress and get you on your feet. Saturday’s live musical entertainment features Bright Moments (noon to 2pm), Runaway Symphony (2:30 to 4:30pm) and Jason Perry Band (5 to 7pm). Wes Urbaniak & the Mountain Folk will be playing noon to 2pm Sunday, with the second band yet to be announced as of press time.

Celebrate a summer weekend here in beautiful Sandpoint with friends, family and community—at Schweitzer’s Northwest Winefest. For additional details, and to purchase your tasting glass and tickets, visit Schweitzer.com. Souvenir wine glass with tasting tickets can also be purchased on-site in the Mountain View patio near the Clocktower.
